Days out with my camera: Newstead Abbey: part one

Newstead Abbey, a former Augustinian monastery in Nottinghamshire has an interesting history. It was founded by Henry II as a priory in the 12th century, became a private residence during the dissolution of the monasteries in the 16th century and was the ancestral home of the poet Lord Byron.
